Cleveland County COVID-19 vaccine tracker: 48% of people fully vaccinated

Some 48% of people living in Cleveland County are fully vaccinated as of Jan. 11, according to data from North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

North Carolina reported 1,905,265 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 9% from the week before.

The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in North Carolina as of Jan. 11 are Orange County (78%), Dare County (75%), Wake County (74%), Durham County (71%) and Brunswick County (67%).
