A few bloops and some chaos on the base paths. The Guardians evened their American League Division Series against the New York Yankees in a way that was certainly fitting of how they punched their ticket to the postseason in the first place.

The Guardians came from behind, played their brand of baseball and eventually beat the Yankees 4-2 in Game 2. The series is tied 1-1 heading to Cleveland for Games 3 and 4 on Saturday and Sunday nights. Game 5, if necessary, would be Monday night in New York.

The Guardians and Yankees entered the 10th inning tied 2-2. Jose Ramirez blooped a ball into shallow left field that fell between a few Yankees defenders. Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson then threw it away, allowing Ramirez to reach third base with some aggressive base running. Oscar Gonzalez followed with a bloop single just over the drawn in right side of the infield to score Ramirez.

Josh Naylor made it 4-2, drilling a double into the right-center field gap, scoring Gonzalez from first base.Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase got the final seven outs, throwing a season-high 33 pitches. Clase hadn't thrown more than 23 pitches in any appearance this season entering Friday.

Here are some quick hits from Game 2 of the ALDS:

Aaron Judge records fourth four-strikeout postseason game against Cleveland

The clear front-runner for AL Most Valuable Player, Aaron Judge hasn't done much against the Guardians this postseason. He never has in the past against Cleveland, either.

Judge struck out four times in Game 2, the fourth time in the postseason he's done that — and all have come against Cleveland, with the other three happening during the five-game 2017 ALDS.

Guardians chip away, tie it 2-2 on Amed Rosario's home run

Against Nestor Cortes, the Guardians eventually came back to tie it. Andres Gimenez hit an RBI single to right field in the fourth inning. An inning later, Amed Rosario came through with a solo home run to center field to tie the score at 2-2.

The Guardians were on the doorstep of a much larger inning in the fourth. With the bases loaded and two outs, Myles Straw grounded a ball up the middle that took a high hop. Cortes leaped, fielded it, fell on his back, rolled over and made the throw to first base to end the inning.

It's possible one of the Yankees infielders would have simply fielded it and stepped on second base for the final out, but it was a highlight reel play nonetheless.

Shane Bieber gives up home run but recovers

The Yankees jumped out to an immediate lead off Guardians ace Shane Bieber. After an apparent ball on a 3-1 pitch was called a strike, forcing a full count, Giancarlo Stanton drilled a two-run home run to right field to put the Yankees ahead 2-0 in the first inning.

Bieber was solid from that point, eventually throwing 5⅔ innings and giving up two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts.
