This Cleveland restaurant made OpenTable's list of most romantic in the U.S.

Every year OpenTable releases its list of the most romantic restaurants in America, and this year, five Ohio restaurants made the list.

The restaurant reservation service compiles a list every year of the country's most romantic restaurants. This year's list is based on 13 million customer reviews from across the U.S.

Whether for a first date, anniversary, proposal or Galentine's Day celebration, the following restaurants were named the most romantic spots in Ohio, according to OpenTable:

• Carlo & Johnny – Cincinnati

• Lindey's – Columbus

• Pepp & Dolores – Cincinnati

• Pier W – Cleveland

• Sotto – Cincinnati

The only northeast Ohio restaurant to make the list was Pier W at 12700 Lake Ave. in Lakewood. It tout's the "best seafood in Cleveland" and a stunning view of Lake Erie and the city's skyline, surely a romantic setting to take in a noteworthy meal.

According to the restaurant's website, Pier W has been "Cleveland's premier destination for five-star dining, fresh seafood and fine wines since 1965." The lakeside restaurant has racked up a few awards in recent years including the Diners' Choice Award for 2022 from OpenTable, the 2021 Silver Spoon Award from Cleveland Magazine, and the Award of Excellence 2021 from Wine Spectator.

The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Sunday brunch hours are 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
