New clinical director named at The King’s Daughters School

The King’s Daughters’ School has announced that Brian Oakley, a licensed social worker, will be joining its Senior Leadership Team as Clinical Director in March.
A native of Maury County, Oakley brings with him more than 20 years leadership in health care and social work.
Since 2013, Oakley has served as the executive director of The Bridge at Columbia, an assisted living facility. Under Oakley's leadership, The Bridge was voted “Best Assisted Living in Maury County” every year. In 2021, The Bridge, which is part of Century Park Home Company, earned customer satisfaction scores that were in the company’s top 10th percentile, and employee satisfaction scores were among the company’s top 15%.
Oakley has also served as director of social work for Life Care Centers of America, director and assistant regional director of social work for National HealthCare, and social worker at Maury Regional Medical Center.
In addition to his leadership of a 24-hour care facility, Oakley has extensive experience in care coordination, advocacy, interdisciplinary planning and communication, discharge planning, behavior planning, and patient family care.
In his role as Clinical Director at KDS, Oakley will provide senior leadership to the health services and case managements teams. He will assume the position previously held by Dr. David Craig, who has served as Clinical Director since 2020, as executive director from 2006 until 2020, and as clinical director at the Center for Autism since its opening in 2006. Craig will remain associated with KDS for counseling and psychology services, continuing his 30+ year relationship with the school.
A celebration in honor of his leadership to the organization is being planned later this spring.

"Under his guidance, the school has seen several expansions, and has grown its clinical and behavioral programming. We are twice blessed to know that this growth will continue under the leadership of Brian Oakley. Brian has a history of nurturing teams to even greater levels of excellence.”
Oakley holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Freed-Hardeman University. He and his wife reside in Maury County with their two children, where they are active in their church, children’s schools and enjoy the outdoors.
The King's Daughters' School is a nationally-recognized private, residential school that has provided academic, vocational, and life skills training to students with developmental challenges and autism for more than 60 years.
