Clintonville-based restaurant merges with Hilliard diner

HILLIARD, Ohio (WCMH) – A diner in Hilliard announced it’s merging with a restaurant based out of Clintonville and that has served customers for decades.

Starliner Diner, located at 4121 Main St., announced on its social media page that it’s joining forces with Nancy’s Home Cooking. Nancy’s Home Cooking was originally located at 3133 N. High St. in Clintonville and moved to Lynn Street in Columbus before it closed in December 2020.

The post from Starliner said Nancy’s Home Cooking will serve its food inside the Hilliard diner, including its signature chicken and noodles.

Nancy’s Home Cooking opened in Clintonville back in 1968 by Nancy Kimmerling. Kimmerling sold the business later to Cindy King, who ran the restaurant for many years. King became ill in 2008, and the business was taken over by King’s niece, Sheila Hahn. Her husband, Rick Hahn, now owns the business after Sheila’s passing in November 2012.

Starliner will continue serving its signature diner dishes as well. The Hilliard spot is excited for Nancy’s Home Cooking to join, noting that more updates will be available soon.
