Closure planned for part of Clinton Avenue next week

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The City of Huntsville says a part of Clinton Avenue will be closed for several days next week for sewer work.

The city said that weather permitting, Clinton Avenue between Pollard Street and Woodson Street and Heart of Huntsville Drive will be closed down for sanitary sewer work. The closure will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29 and run until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31.

City officials said efforts will be made to maintain one eastbound lane during the closure, but residents are advised to take alternate routes and allow for time for detours.

Traffic control will be in place and the city said local access will be maintained during the closure.
