Club for Growth PAC endorses U.S. Sen. Mike Braun for Indiana governor

Conservative fundraising powerhouse Club for Growth is endorsing Republican U.S. Sen. Mike Braun for Indiana governor, a race where he faces competition from several well-funded opponents.
Also running for the Republican nomination is Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, former secretaries of commerce Brad Chambers and Eric Doden, and former Attorney General Curtis Hill.

Braun has attracted the support of other big-name national groups, like Americans for Prosperity and the National Troopers Coalition. The endorsement from Club for Growth's Political Action Committee is likely to come with advertising largesse. Its president, David McIntosh, is a former Indiana U.S. representative.
“Sen. Mike Braun is a proven conservative fighter who will stand up and protect Hoosier values as Indiana’s next Governor ― we are proud to endorse him in the race,” he said. “We will do whatever it takes to ensure Sen. Braun is elected governor.”
The Club for Growth PAC also endorsed U.S. Rep. Jim Banks and has supported his campaign with television ads.
The PAC also endorsed Braun during his 2018 Senate campaign, where he defeated incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly.
“I am proud to have the endorsement of Club for Growth," Braun said. "After being named one of the most effective and conservative U.S. Senators, I will continue to challenge the status quo and offer solutions that will create jobs, lower the cost of healthcare, and improve our schools for Hoosiers.”
The primary election is May 7.
