Ohio Federation of Business and Professional Women

The Ohio Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW/OHIO) publicly opposes any action to overturn Roe V Wade.

During the 102nd annual BPW/Ohio State Conference held at Mohican Lodge and Conference Center from May 20 - May 22. The membership adopted a resolution to oppose any action to overturn the Roe V Wade decision.

This landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in 1973 that the Constitution of the United States protects a pregnant woman’s liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction.

Since 1920, Business & Professional Women of Ohio (BPW/OHIO) has provided opportunities for all women to participate in a variety of meetings, conferences, workshops and seminars that provide training, skill building and networking. Over 600 women and men belong to BPW/OHIO in local organizations, representing every congressional district in the state, as well as every age, race, religion, political party and socioeconomic background.

BPW/OHIO is an advocacy group, providing a legislative platform for members to focus efforts. One of the planks of this platform states: HEALTH: Actively work to strengthen and enforce legal protection for full access to all health-care services including reproductive choice, funding for research into and protection for women’s health care and educational programs concerning women’s health issues.
