Clydesdales return in Budweiser Super Bowl commercial preview

ST. LOUIS – Budweiser took their world-famous Clydesdales to social media Thursday with a preview of their commercial for Super Bowl LVIII.

In the brief 15-second sneak peek posted on YouTube and Instagram, the Clydesdales are the main focus of the video, noting, “The Clydesdales are back.”

“The spot is rooted in the scenes, storylines, and on-screen magic that shaped the brand’s legacy as one of the top advertisers of all time,” the news release from Anheuser-Busch said. “The iconic Clydesdales are back with a timeless message of resilience, determination, and coming together over a beer.”

For nearly 50 years, Anheuser-Busch has produced over 260 commercials for the Super Bowl.

Anheuser-Busch collectively will receive two and a half minutes of national advertising time on Feb. 11, which will be the largest amount of advertising time this year for the beer and alcohol industry.

Viewers can also expect commercials for Michelob ULTRA and Bud Light during the game.

“The Super Bowl is advertising’s biggest moment, and our goal is to once again captivate our audience when the world is watching,” Kyle Norrington, chief commercial officer for Anheuser-Busch, said in the release. “We’re showing up big time in this moment that matters for our beer drinkers and football fans across the country through unmatched creative storytelling, seamless trade integrations, record-breaking consumer sweeps, robust media plans, and on-the-ground activations.”
