The 56th annual CMA Awards take center stage Wednesday night in Nashville, bringing together top country hitmakers for rowdy performances, surprise showcases and career-making moments.

Who's hosting?

"Country Girl" and "Play It Again" star Luke Bryan returns to co-host the CMA Awards for a second consecutive year. This year, he's joined by Pro Football Hall of Famer (and Tennessee gridiron great) Peyton Manning.

This marks the first time hosting for Manning, a retired NFL quarterback with a growing post-career media presence.
