Co-Chairs named for HSHAS and Prevea task force

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – We now know who will be leading a regional task force that’s responding to the closures of the HSHS Hospitals and Prevea Clinics in the area. The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce says the task force co-chairs are retired healthcare executive Bill Rupp (whose experience includes leading Mayo facilities in Eau Claire, Minnesota and Florida) and Jerry Jacobson, President of Northwestern Bank in Chippewa Falls.

The first meeting of the task force’s steering committee will be on Tuesday (1/30/24). The task force will establish subcommittees to address specific issues related to the closings. The chamber has also created a special web page for people to submit questions and to provide ongoing information.
