Residents of Josephine, Alabama, a town near Orange Beach, surveyed damage to their property on September 16, following a night of high winds and flooding from Hurricane Sally.
Videos filmed by Amy Lynn Cuny early on Wednesday show broken and uprooted trees, flooding, and damage to her property and dock.
Wind gusts were reported at 99 mph and much of the Florida panhandle and coastal Alabama were under water when Hurricane Sally made landfall on Wednesday morning, reports said. Pensacola received roughly 2 feet of rain.
The storm was downgraded from a Category 2 hurricane to a tropical storm on Wednesday afternoon, and the National Hurricane Center warned of prolonged flooding across the Gulf Coast through Friday. Credit: Amy Lynn Cuny via Storyful
