Coastal flooding and high astronomical tide advisories: NWS

(KRON) – The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory for San Francisco Bay shoreline and North Bay shoreline until 1 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the NWS, a high astronomical tide warning was issued from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. The tidal levels are forecasted to run 0.75 feet above predictions, which may result in minor coastal flooding. High tides may impact Cloverdale, Guerneville, Santa Rosa, Napa, Petaluma, San Rafael, Berkeley, and SFO.

For your safety, be hypervigilant on roadways, underpasses, coastal trails, sidewalks, covers, and narrow beaches.

NWS also issued a frost advisory for Friday morning. According to the NWS, frost advisory conditions are hazardous to unsheltered and marginally sheltered populations. The weather service advises protecting people, pets, plants, and pipes from cold.
