Cobb County Genealogical Society's 2021 Scavenger Hunt revisited
Oct. 16—Over the summer, several members of the Cobb County Genealogical Society participated in a genealogical scavenger hunt.
On Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., Larry W. Thomas will discuss some of the many facets of the hunt. Whether it is using different tools to locate information such as, the federal land grants website, to properly interpreting written stories about someone versus the documents to prove it, Thomas will cover several topics of interest. A local professional researcher and presenter, Thomas has been doing genealogy professionally for 13 years
and teaching on the subject for over six years.
The free presentation will be on Zoom. Participants must register at www.CobbGaGenSoc.org.
