Jun. 14—Cobb County is under a heat advisory from noon through 8 p.m. today. Temperatures from 105 to 110 are expected. The temperatures plus high humidity could lead to heat-related illness.

The MUST Ministries Cooling Center opens in the new MUST Hope House at 1297 Bells Ferry Road, Marietta, any time the temperature is 90 degrees or hotter. The center opens on weekdays at 9 a.m. and closes at 7:30 p.m., allowing homeless to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an air-conditioned facility. On weekends, the center is open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. While there, homeless are able to access MUST services including showers, laundry, job coaching, clothing, case management, and water/snacks. Located in the outreach center of the MUST Hope House, the outreach program is typically open 9 a.m. — 2 p.m. when temperatures are not extremely high or extremely low.
