Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre to have An Evening with Beres Hammond & Third World
Aug. 5—The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway in the Cumberland area, will have An Evening with Beres Hammond & Third World on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m.
Beres Hammond is a Jamaican reggae singer known in particular for his lovers rock music. While his career began in the 1970s, he reached his greatest success in the 1990s. His 2012 album One Love, One Life topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart and was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2013 he was awarded the Order of Jamaica by the Jamaican government in recognition of his "exceptional and dedicated contribution to the Jamaican music industry."
