Jan. 10—Cobb County has canceled a planned public meeting this week to discuss the county's comprehensive plan update, citing the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases.
The county's comprehensive plan is a document which outlines its long-term development goals, and is required by law to be updated regularly. Cobb County adopted its most recent update in 2017.
Thursday's meeting was to be the first in a series of public engagement events regarding the comprehensive plan. The county said a rescheduled date and time will be announced, and a planned Jan. 24 meeting is still on schedule.
