Cobrai Kai star Peyton List's School Spirits show renewed for season 2

School Spirits is officially returning for a second season on Paramount+.
The Young Adult series stars Peyton List (Cobra Kai) as Maddie Nears, a teenage girl who becomes stuck in the afterlife at her high school, alongside some other ghost students.
While she's trapped in limbo, Maddie tries to piece together how she disappeared and died, but the closer she gets to discovering the truth, the more secrets and lies she uncovers.

The eight-part series concluded with a huge cliffhanger two months ago, so news of a second season is sure to be a relief to fans. Though, there is no confirmed release date yet.
"School Spirits developed such a passionate and engaged fan base over the course of its first season, marking one of our most popular new young adult series to date," Domenic DiMeglio, chief marketing officer and head of data at Paramount Streaming, said in a statement (via Variety).
"The creative minds behind the series — showrunner Oliver Goldstick and creators Nate Trinrud & Megan Trinrud — and the extremely talented cast brought audiences a fresh take on high school — both in the present and in the afterlife — and we can’t wait to see what happens next at Split River High."

School Spirits also stars Kristian Flores, Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, Rainbow Wedell, Milo Manheim, Josh Zuckerman and Maria Dizzia.
As well as reprising her role as Maddie in School Spirits, List will also make a comeback as Tory Nichols in the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai.
Although Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso finally buried their decades-long feud in season five, season six is still set to be the "the biggest and baddest" outing yet.
School Spirits airs on Paramount+. Cobra Kai seasons one to five are available to watch now on Netflix.
