Cocktails, bats and drag queens: Austin Central Library hosting after-dark camp for adults

The Austin Central Library is giving adults the chance to return to their childhoods with a summer camp-themed after-hours event.

APL After Dark is strictly for those 21 years and older, and it will run from 7-10 p.m. June 30.

For $10, attendees can enjoy games, storytelling, cocktails and campfire songs with South Austin Ukelele. Other special guests include the Austin Bat Refuge and rangers from the Austin Parks and Recreation Department.

Austin Bat Refuge will bring live bats to help teach about the history and conservation of Texas bats, and Parks and Recreation rangers will take attendees outside for an evening exploration of urban wildlife.

Bibliographia will offer screen-printing, and Austin drag queens will join "Girls Gotta Eat" photographer Sarah Bork for the campfire story hour.
