Coco Jones Drops Official ‘Double Back’ Music Video

Coco Jones, Hollywood’s R&B “It Girl,” has delivered the official music video for “Double Back,” off her EP, What I Didn’t Tell You. The video appeared on MTV and the Times Square billboard for Viacom. The seductive clip follows the Nashville-bred talent taking over her office in style, only to discover an ugly truth about her love interest. On the song, she sings over a sample of “Rain” by SWV.
The video is a follow-up to the R&B hit single and video, “ICU,” which is currently skyrocketing up the Billboard Hot 100 list and has since earned a spot in the Top 10 of Urban Mainstream radio.
“Double Back” surged in popularity since the star crooner performed it at the 2022 BET Soul Train Awards, The Jennifer Hudson Show and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, to name a few.
Unveiled in October, the highly anticipated What I Didn’t Tell You is a body of work meant to share “all about the stories that happen off-camera.” The deluxe edition, released in January, featured four new tracks, including “Fallin’,” “Put You On,” “Plan B” and “Simple,” the last of which included her collaboration on Babyface’s Girls Night Out project.
Her continued partnership with Pure Leaf Iced Tea is also featured in Jones’s music video.
“I’m so glad to be able to include Pure Leaf in my new music video for ‘Double Back.’ They’ve been such huge supporters of my career, and [I] enjoy any opportunity we get to collaborate together!” Jones said, according to The Source.
Most recently, the pair joined forces to produce “As Seen on Pure Leaf,” a fake advertisement promoting the effectiveness of a sweetly subtle “no,” inspired by Pure Leaf Lower Sugar Iced Tea.
The 25-year-old’s career has exploded since the early days of her stardom at Disney to her present role as “Hilary Banks” in Peacock’s Fresh Prince revival, Bel-Air.
The “Double Back” artist was also recently recognized as the BET Amplified Artist of the Month, a program that highlights up-and-coming female musicians in recognition of Women’s History Month.
The rising performer can credit her relatable R&B sound for why the budding Hollywood superstar has gained a devoted following. She’s further won the hearts of millions as an accomplished, dark-skinned Black woman who continues to advocate for better representation in the entertainment industry. With just a few tunes under her belt, Jones’s journey is only getting started.
