“CODA” actor Troy Kotsur reportedly lost two extremely valuable pieces of personal property over the weekend.

While being honored in his hometown of Mesa, Arizona, on Thursday, Aug. 11 for his historic Academy Award win earlier this year, the momentous occasion turned into a somewhat unfortunate situation when Kotsur's Jeep was stolen a few days later. What's worse, though, is that the actor's well-deserved golden Oscar statuette was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The 54-year-old toted the award with him to the special ceremony, however kept it in his automobile, per Deadline.

Luckily, the items weren't gone for long, as the Jeep and its contents—including the Wild Prairie Rose actor's golden trophy for best actor in a supporting role—were retrieved and returned to their owner in record timing.

In police reports obtained by Today, the Mesa Police Department released details of the theft. “We can confirm that Mr Kotsur’s vehicle was stolen and recovered last night here in Mesa,” the statement said. “Once Mr Kotsur notified the department of the theft, officers began their investigation and through investigative techniques, they located the vehicle with two juvenile male suspects inside.”

According to authorities, two unnamed juveniles were charged and taken to the Maricopa County Juvenile Court System.

“Mr. Kotsur had his vehicle returned to him to include all the property that was inside,” the statement concluded.

In a since-deleted tweet, the star celebrated being reunited with his prized possession, thanking the "city of Meza" for finding his belongings.

Kotsur recently made history at the 94th Academy Awards by becoming the first deaf man to win an Oscar for acting. “This is dedicated to the deaf community, the ‘CODA’ community and the disabled community,” Kotsur said in American Sign Language at the time. “This is our moment.”
