Five Portage County football players earned first team all-state honors with the release of the Division VI and VII teams Monday afternoon.

Mogadore (OL Trevor Davis and DL Mason Williams) and Rootstown (RB Cody Coontz and OL Tony Karp) each had two first team all-Ohio honorees, while Windham senior running back Chase Eye also earned first team accolades.

Nine other Portage County players earned honorable mention all-state honors: Mogadore's Zeke Cameron, Devin Graham and Tyler Shellenbarger; Rootstown's Luke DeAngelis and Drew Nero; Windham's Jack Eye and Anthony Paolella; Southeast's Evan Riffle; and Waterloo's Austin Wise.

Five Portage County schools are in Division VI and Division VII, with Mogadore, Rootstown, Southeast and Waterloo in the former and Windham in the latter. The teams for Divisions IV (which includes Field, Ravenna and Streetsboro) and V (which includes Crestwood and Garfield) will be released Tuesday, with II and III (which includes Aurora and Roosevelt) to come on Wednesday. No Portage County team is in Division I (to be released Thursday).
