Starbucks is a coffee giant and is known for its thousands of stores across the globe. As its prices vary by location, here is how much some popular menu items are at its stores:

16 oz cup of coffee: $2.95

16 oz vanilla latte: $5.25

Croissant: $2.95

Breakfast Sandwich: $4.45 sausage, cheddar and egg

McDonald’s

McDonald’s may be better known for their Big Macs than their coffee, but many people trust this American company for their breakfasts on their morning commute. Here’s how its prices compare:

16 oz cup of coffee: $1.00

16 oz vanilla latte: $3.99

Croissant: McDonald’s does not have croissants, but has blueberry muffins for $2.19, apple fritters for $2.29, or cinnamon rolls for $2.69.

Burger King

16 oz vanilla latte: Burger King does not have lattes, but has vanilla iced coffee for $2.49.

Croissant: Burger King has “Crossissn’Wiches”, breakfast sandwiches with croissants as the bread, but also have french toast sticks for $1.69.

Big Foot Java

Big Foot Java has drive-thru coffee stands across Washington state, offering customers coffee 24/7 and drinks as big as 44 oz. Here is how its prices compare:

16 oz cup of coffee: $1.75

16 oz vanilla latte: $3.50

Croissant: Big Foot Java has chocolate croissants or almond croissants for $3.50 each.

Breakfast Sandwich: According to their website, Big Foot Java does not serve breakfast sandwiches but has plain bagels and cheddar everything bagels with cream cheese for $3.75, as well as cookies, muffins, breads and other pastries all under $4.00.

Dutch Bros

Dutch Bros may be more common in areas like Portland, but as the popular chain has locations popping up around Washington, they are becoming a bigger competitor for coffee lovers. Here is how their prices compare to the other coffee chains:

16 oz cup of coffee: Dutch Bros does not serve drip coffee, so customers can order an Americano for $2.00.

16 oz vanilla latte: Dutch Bros has a “Double Torture”, a double-shot vanilla mocha for $4.25

Croissant: Dutch Bros. does not have croissants or breakfast sandwiches, but has a chocolate chip, lemon poppy seed and orange cranberry muffin tops for $2.25.

The most affordable chain to get a cup of coffee would be from McDonald’s which offers small, medium, and large cups of coffee for $1.00, all day. The most expensive chain to get a plain drip coffee would be Starbucks, where a 16-oz. Pikes Place roast costs $2.95, which was more expensive than Dutch Bros closest offering, an Americano for $2.00.

The most affordable chain to get a vanilla latte is at Big Foot Java where a 16-oz. latte is $3.50, closely followed by McDonald’s which costs $3.99. The most expensive chain to get a vanilla latte was Starbucks where a 16 oz will cost you $5.25.

For a plain croissant, Starbucks is the only chain that sells them for $2.95, while other chains have different pastry offerings. Big Foot Java has chocolate and almond croissants for $3.50, or Burger King’s “Croissan’Wiches” for $3.99 with various egg, cheese and meat options.

The most affordable breakfast sandwich option for a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich was McDonald’s sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin that costs about $3.89. Burger King’s sausage, egg and cheese biscuit was closely behind, only ten cents more than McDonald’s. The most expensive chain to get a breakfast sandwich was Starbucks, where a sausage, cheddar and egg sandwich is $4.45.
