Coincidence? Powerball jackpot for 11/2/22 was $1.2 billion. 2, 11 and 22 were among winning numbers

The Powerball jackpot is nearing record numbers.

Wednesday night's drawing, already in the "billion-dollar jackpot" category, had an interesting numerical occurrence: The date of the drawing was 11/2/22, the jackpot was for $1.2 billion, and three of the winning numbers contained the date (11, 2 and 22).

Coincidence? You be the judge.

For those following Powerball, another odd occurrence happened earlier this week during the Halloween drawing: The number 13 appeared twice (see below if you have questions about that).

After months of rollovers, the Nov. 2, 2022, Powerball jackpot has soared to the second-largest Powerball jackpot in the game's history — $1.2 billion with a cash option of $596.7 million.

And now, another rollover and the jackpot has climbed to $1.5 billion. But there are still prizes to be had.
