Chicago weather: windchills below zero, only climbing to 20s Saturday

Bundle up Saturday, as temperatures are only getting into the 20s, says the National Weather Service.

Scattered flurries and snow showers may occur through Saturday afternoon in portions of north central and northeast Illinois, and northwest Indiana, meteorologists say.

There will be little to no snow accumulation and windchills were expected to be at or below zero Saturday morning before climbing to the low teens into the afternoon.

As of late Saturday morning, Midway Airport was breezy with light snow at 15 degrees with a windchill of negative 9. At O’Hare International Airport it was breezy at 13 degrees with windchills at negative 11.
