Congratulations are in order for Colin Kaepernick and his partner, Nessa Diab, who are brand new parents.

The birth of the couple’s first child was announced Sunday.

“Colin and I welcomed our amazing baby to the world a few weeks ago and we are over the moon with our growing family,” Diab wrote in a caption of a black and white photo of the smiling couple and their baby on Instagram.

The former “Talk Soup” host and radio personality shared the news just before hosting MTV’s red carpet show at the Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

She “thought long and hard” about the announcement but decided on the particular timing because Sunday was “the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title — MOM.”

The child’s gender or name was not revealed in the social media post.

The 41-year-old Egyptian host described the 34-year-old former NFL quarterback as “the most amazing dad” and said she was so “grateful that he is by our side for every moment of this journey.”

The couple have been romantically linked since 2015.

Kaepernick became a rising figure in the racial injustice movement and sparked controversy for kneeling during the national anthem while he played for the San Francisco 49ers.
