College Basketball: Adrian men win Wittenberg consolation

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The Adrian College men's basketball team made a second half comeback Tuesday in the consolation of the Wittenberg Tournament as it knocked off the hosts, 77-73.

The Bulldogs (3-6) snapped a four-game losing streak despite trailing 37-29 at the half. Adrian went on a 12-2 run from the 13:46 mark in the second half to 9:21 to go up 53-47 and never relinquished it.

Nick Seifert led the way with 22 points while Kendall Bellamy put up 14.

BLUFFTON, Ohio — The Bulldogs dropped their sixth-straight game before embarking on a trip to Puerto Rico.

Adrian (3-7) trailed 16-10 after the first and 31-25 at the half.

Jordan Phillips and Julia Tierman each put 13 points to lead the Bulldogs.
