College Basketball: Bethany Lutheran JV prevails over Ridgewater men
Nov. 29—MANKATO — In a game that featured 16 lead changes, it was the Bethany Lutheran junior varsity that got the best of Ridgewater at the end.
The Vikings won the men's basketball matchup 92-90 on Monday.
Led by Nate Fedorchak's 20 points, four Bethany Lutheran players finished in double figures. Fedorchak was 7 of 11 shooting, including 6 of 10 from 3-point range. Elijah Johnson (18), Domanik Paulson (16) and Easton Hulke (11) also had double-digit points.
The Warriors' Jaylyn Clardy wrapped up the game with a double-double. The sophomore wing from Pensacola, Florida had a game-high 29 points along with 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Tanner Swanson chipped in with 14 points on 6 of 7 shooting, and Malik Westerfield added 12 points in the loss. Swanson is a freshman forward from Superior, Wisconsin while Westerfield is a sophomore guard from Davenport, Iowa.
Ridgewater (3-2) returns home Friday to face Minnesota North College-Rainy River. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Jumping out to a 26-4 first-quarter lead, the Bethany Lutheran junior varsity team pulled away for a win over Ridgewater in Mankato.
The Vikings' Kaitlyn Berreau had 10 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Berreau is a junior from Benson. Madison Reedy added a team-high 11 points for Bethany Lutheran.
Gabby Randt nearly had a double-double for Ridgewater with 10 points and nine rebounds. Kayla Reimers chipped in with eight points. Randt is a freshman from Raymond. Reimers is a freshman from Walnut Grove.
Still in search of their first win, the Warriors host Minnesota North College-Rainy River at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
