College Basketball | Mount Union slips to No. 17 in d3hoops.com poll
The Mount Union men's basketball team is ranked No. 17 in this week's d3hoops.com poll.
The Purple Raiders (11-2, 5-2 Ohio Athletic Conference) split two games last week, losing at then-No. 8 Marietta 84-59 on January 12 and defeating Otterbein 74-59 on January 15.
Mount Union was ranked No. 14 last week.
The top four teams remained unchanged in the poll - No. 1 Randolph-Macon (Va,), No. 2 Wisconsin-Platteville, No. 3 Illinois Wesleyan and No. 4 Washington (Mo.).
Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Marietta, Yeshiva (N.Y.), St. Joseph (Conn.), Christopher Newport (Va.) and Wisconsin-La Crosse round out the top 10.
The Purple Raiders play host to Muskingum at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Timken Gymnasium and will visit Heidelberg at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Women's poll
Hope (Mich.), Christopher Newport, Transylvania (Ky.), Simpson (Iowa) and Trine (Ind.) are the top five teams in the d3hoops.com women's basketball poll.
Wisconsin-Whitewater, Amherst (Mass.), Whitman (Calif.), New York University and Tufts (Mass.) round out of the top 10.
Baldwin Wallace, John Carroll and Marietta are ranked No. 11, 12 and 16, respectively.
Mount Union travels to Muskingum at 7 p.m. Wednesday and plays at Heidelberg at 2 p.m. Saturday.
