College basketball: NDSCS shuts down Ridgewater

Dec. 7—WAHPETON, N.D. — The Ridgewater men's basketball team ran into a tough squad at North Dakota State College of Science, and fell to the Wildcats, 71-51 on Tuesday.

NDSCS (10-2) got up 47-21 at halftime and cruised to the win, holding the Warriors to 34% shooting, 17 of 50.

Ten players scored for the Wildcats, led by Kabine Kaba's 13 points.

Jaylyn Clardy had 16 points, four rebounds and two steals to lead Ridgewater. Clardy, a 6-foot-3 sophomore from Pensacola, Florida, was named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference South Division player of the week.

Ridgewater's next game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Minnesota North-Itasca in Grand Rapids.
