College Football: Adrian blows out Bluffton

BLUFFTON, Ohio — The Adrian College football team had everything clicking Saturday as the Bulldogs their most points since a 62-7 win against Rockford University in 2017 by topping Bluffton, 58-23.

The game began with both quarterbacks giving the ball away with interceptions, but it was all Adrain (2-1) from there as the offense tallied 535 yards, 309 on the ground.

Adrian used three quarterbacks with Aaron Jenkins getting the start before handing it over to sophomore Jack Kujawa, who then gave the ball up to freshman Taj Williams.

The defense held the Beavers to 47 yards rushing while tallying 309 yards total. The Bulldogs came up with two interceptions from Brandon Kwiatkowski and Waides Ashmon while Tche Leroux had three tackles for loss, including a sack.

St. Xavier 24, Siena Heights 21

CHICAGO — The Saints made a furious late game comeback again, but this time they couldn't come out with the win as it fell to St. Xavier.

SHU (1-1) started strong with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Minor to Sam Cousino to make it 7-0 with 12:30 to go in the first quarter, but the Saints were held off the scoreboard until the start of the fourth.

St. Xavier led 17-7 at the half and 24-7 going into the fourth. The Saints got a 4-yard touchdown run from Minor to start the fourth before Minor threw a 19-yard touchdown pass with 27 seconds left.
