College football fans react with humor, disgust to news that USC, UCLA will join Big Ten
College football fans were shocked by the news that Pacific 12 anchors USC and UCLA will join the Big Ten beginning with the 2024-2025 academic year.
Many doubted whether the Trojans and Bruins could weather the Big Ten weather. Others lamented the continuing changing landscape of college football.
The Badgers have some Rose Bowl history with both teams. Wisconsin defeated UCLA twice in the big game in the 1990s but lost to USC after the 1952 and 1962 seasons.
Here are some reactions on Twitter.

So last July the B1G announced former #Badgers coach/AD Barry Alvarez as the league’s football liaison...and less than a year later USC and UCLA joining the B1G. 🤔

We’re excited for USC and UCLA to join the Big Ten. It’ll be interesting at least.
The Wisconsin Badgers football team has quite the history with both programs, playing them a combined six times in bowl games.

I’m not at all interested in superconferences... It saddens me to see what college football is becoming.

UCLA to Rutgers, btw, is almost the same distance as Rutgers to Reykjanesbær, Iceland.

I really hate that College Football, the sports that we all love, is being dictated by TV contracts. USC and UCLA to the Big 10 makes zero sense.

Earlier this morning the local news said the BigTen added two football powerhouses to the conference. I checked to see if they had added anyone besides USC and UCLA. 😐
