This isn’t the Super Saturday of blockbuster games we saw a week ago. Still, there are come intriguing college football matchups on the schedule for this Saturday.

Start right here at home where Kentucky plays host to No. 22-ranked Florida at Kroger Field. It’s a noon kickoff on ESPN with Joe Tessitore, Jesse Palmer and Katie George on the call.

Some background: The 52-year-old Tessitore is from Schenectady, New York, and has been an ESPN staple for a number of years. He even did “Monday Night Football” with Jason Witten and Booger McFarland in 2018 and with McFarland again in 2019. Palmer is the former Florida quarterback probably more famous for being the permanent host of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachlorette” series on ABC.

George is very familiar to Kentuckians. She was a three-time all-conference volleyball player at Louisville, as well as Miss Kentucky USA in 2015. She got her broadcasting start at WDRB in Louisville before doing sideline reporting for the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks. ESPN hired her for the ACC Network before moving George to the flagship station in 2021.

As for Saturday games matching ranked teams, there are three.

No. 24 Kansas is at No. 3 Texas at 3:30 p.m. on ABC. Both teams are 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the Big 12. Texas rocketed up the polls after its 34-24 win at Alabama on Sept. 9. Kansas is coming off a 38-27 win over BYU.

No. 13 LSU is at No. 20 Ole Miss at 6 p.m. on ESPN. Both teams are 3-1. LSU is off to a 2-0 start in the SEC. Ole Miss is 0-1 in the league after losing 24-10 at Alabama last Saturday.

At 7:30 p.m. on ABC, No. 11 Notre Dame is at No. 17 Duke. The hope is Notre Dame will have 11 men on the field at all times against the Blue Devils, who are off to a perfect 4-0 start. The Irish dropped to 3-1 thanks to Ohio State’s walk-off 17-14 win last Saturday in South Bend.
