College football: Texas A&M-Kingsville ready to regroup with long road trip

The Javelinas toughest test to date is behind them and now they look to regroup with a second road trip of 2022 to Washington.

Texas A&M-Kingsville lost its first game of the 2022 season against national power Angelo State, but even with the loss the Javelinas find themselves in a position to still possibly earn a berth into the NCAA Division II playoffs. The Javelinas (7-1) were ranked No. 7 in the latest NCAA regional rankings in Super Region Four. Angelo State is currently ranked No. 1 the region.

Carter has been a key cog in the Javelinas running game this season as he rushed for a team-best 61 yards against Angelo State.

The Javelinas play their final road game of the season, which is the team's second trip to Washington this year. In an earlier road trip, Texas A&M-Kingsville topped Simon Fraser 35-7. After this week, the Javelinas will conclude the season with two home games against Midwestern State and Western Oregon. ...
