Hartman graduates from Mansfield University

Lucas Hartman, Windber, graduated in December (summa cum laude) with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology: fisheries from Mansfield University.

The new graduates are eligible to participate in the 157th Commencement May 14 at Karl Van Norman Field.

159 ACM graduates

Allegany College of Maryland recognized 159 graduates from seven states and the District of Columbia at the conclusion of the recent fall 2021 session. They earned a total of 169 associate degrees and certificates through the college’s in-person and online programs. From Somerset County are:

Meyersdale — Tiffany Marie Beeman, general studies; Ruth Ann Livengood, medical administrative assistant.

Somerset — Brianna Dee Katz, criminal justice.

Bloomsburg University

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania had more than 2,000 students named to the fall 2021 dean's list.

A full-time student whose semester GPA is 3.5 or higher in 12 or more semester hours of course work for which a grade or grades are received are named to the dean's list. From Somerset County, Cynthea Eppley of Jerome, ASL/English interpreting major.

Pennsylvania College of Technology

The fall 2021 dean’s list and graduates have been announced at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, a special mission affiliate of Penn State.

Shenandoah University

Shenandoah celebrates the 428 students who made the president's list for the fall 2021 semester. Students who achieved this prestigious academic recognition attained a grade point average of at least 3.90. From Somerset County is Kaelyn McClintock of Windber.

Shenandoah would like to honor the 1,024 students who made the fall 2021 dean's list and that also is Kaelyn McClintock of Windber. To be considered for the dean's list, students must complete at least 12 semester hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

SRU

Slippery Rock University has announced its dean's list for the fall 2021 semester. The dean's list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Saint Vincent College

Six-hundred twenty-nine students were named to the dean's list of Saint Vincent College for the fall 2021 semester, according to the Rev. Philip Kanfush, interim vice president for Academic Affairs and Academic Dean. In order to qualify for the dean's list, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better out of a possible 4.0.
