SNHU

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) students were named to the summer 2022 president's list. The summer terms run from May to August. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the president's list. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer. From Somerset County are Miranda Sines of Salisbury and Kegan Ashbrook of Windber.The following student from Somerset County were named to the summer 2022 dean's list Emma Mostoller of Somerset. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the dean's list.

Allegany College of Maryland

Allegany College of Maryland recognized 60 graduates earning 66 associate degrees and certificates at the conclusion of the summer 2022 session. From Somerset County are:Berlin — Madeline Johnson, Physical Therapist AssistantGarrett — Ellie Lane, Physical Therapist AssistantMeyersdale — Shawna Leonard, Practical Nursing CertificateWindber — Olivia Chappie, Occupational Therapy Assistant

Point Park

Alexa Shaulis, a graduate of Somerset Area Senior High School and current broadcasting major at Point Park University, received the Margy Snyder Memorial Scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year.

"I chose Point Park because it gave me the opportunity to get hands-on experiences to make and create a variety of projects through student media like U-View and WPPJ. Receiving this scholarship means that I have the opportunity to continue to learn and grow my abilities. Coming to Point Park has helped me learn what I am passionate about and has helped me develop skills to achieve my goals,” Shaulis said.
