Catch up with former Section 4 athletes who are competing/coaching collegiately.

King Rice / Monmouth University

Binghamton native Rice and the Hawks basketball team made it five wins in their most recent six outings with Sunday’s 76-63 victory at Quinnipiac (Hamden, Connecticut).

The outcome left Monmouth tied with Navy as national leaders in road victories (nine). The Hawks’ four fifth-year seniors achieved two-figure scoring totals for the fourth time this season.

“We shared the ball, they followed the plan, we said we were going to have good execution,” Rice said. “Our guys really bought into that and when we play smart basketball, we're a problem.”
