College Roundup: Siena Heights football shuts out Lawrence Tech in second half
ADRIAN — Eric Williams II came four yards shy of Siena Heights' single-game receiving record Saturday as he helped the Saints football team top Lawrence Tech, 34-14.
SHU (4-3, 3-1 Mid-States Football Association Mideast Division) won back-to-back games for the first time this season as Williams hauled in seven receptions for 176 yards, four yards off of Aaron Doroit's single game record set in the 2015 season, and added a touchdown.
Ryan Minor returned to the starting role under center and led the Saints to 334 yards of total offense while the Saints defense pitched a shutout in the second half.
SHU went up 10-0 in the first and took a 20-14 lead into the half.

SOUTHFIELD — The Saints picked up a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference sweep as it won its fourth-straight match.
SHU (19-7, 14-2 WHAC) took care of the Blue Devils with wins of 25-19, 25-17, 25-15.
Aubrey Bates distributed the ball all around the floor as five different Saints had at least five kills while also leading the team in digs.

SYLVANIA, Ohio — After trailing 1-0 at the half and trailing most of the second half, the Saints rallied for three goals late for the WHAC win.
SHU (9-4-3, 4-2-3 WHAC) MacKenzie Stenzel scored tie the match in the 82nd minute before scoring again in the 84th minute. Parker Cheney scored in the 84th minute as well for the Saints.
Lourdes outshot SHU on goal, 6-5.

ADRIAN — The Bulldogs led 1-0 at the half, but the Hornets tied it early in the second as the two played to a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association draw.
Mckenna Mahoney scored in the 19th minute for Adrian (7-6-4, 3-2-2 MIAA) with a penalty kick and it remained the only score until the 52nd minute.
The Bulldogs outshot Kalamazoo, 17-15, while the Hornets had a 9-7 shots on goal advantage.

ADRIAN — The Bulldogs battled to their second tie in MIAA play in a 1-1 draw.
Adrian (1-14-2, 0-4-2 MIAA) scored in the 14th minute to take a 1-0 lead, which held through halftime. The Comets tied the match up in the 79th minute.

SYLVANIA, Ohio — After a scoreless first half, the Gray Wolves netted three goals in the second half for the WHAC win.
SHU (5-8-1, 3-5-1) got three shots on goal, but weren't able to capitalize.
Lourdes scored in the 53rd, 64th and 77th minute.

NAIA Great Lakes Challenge
GRAND RAPIDS — The Siena Heights cross country teams traveled for the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge where the men took 12th while the women took 25th.
Madison graduate Nethanel Leupold led the men's team as he took 46th (27:24.4) as they posted a score of 328.
The Saints posted a team score of 598 led by Xochitl Garcia as she took 73rd (19:23.80).
