Coach Thoughts

Drew Crawford, SHU: I thought we played great and moved the ball extremely well in the first half. The second half was a bit of a struggle as Adrian picked up their pressure and we didn't handle it as well as we could have. Tonight, was a learning experience, especially for our younger players, but I am happy with the result, and it's a good way to start the season.

Mike Hatfield, AC: We started very slow in tempo and energy, but Jackson Vacca made some very huge saves to keep the game 1-0 at the half. What I saw in the second half was a team I know this group can be. We are still very young and learning some very key things about ourselves and our teammates. I think this group took ten steps forward in the second half alone.

Kaitlyn Dake/Teagan Bergeron: 2 shots on goal

Coach Thoughts

Ali Alamdari, AC: We generated a high number of quality chances, but need to be much more intentional with selecting the right shots to take, and then finishing our best opportunities. That said, there were some excellent moments throughout the match and our defensive unit did a great job ensuring that we could keep the pressure on Earlham all game long without a costly counterattack.
