COLLEGE SOFTBALL: UTPB picked 14th in preseason poll
Jan. 24—The UTPB softball team was picked to finish 14th in the Lone Star Conference softball preseason poll on Tuesday.
The Falcons enter the 2023 season under the direction of new head coach Samantha Mendez.
UT-Tyler was picked to finish first, receiving 35 first place votes in the poll.
Angelo State was picked to finish second while Texas A&M-Kingsville was picked third, receiving one first place vote.
UTPB's season is scheduled to begin against Fort Lewis at 11 a.m. Feb. 4 in Silver City, N.M.
The Falcons' first home game will be against Angelo State at 4 p.m. Feb. 21.
