Texas Tech is looking to snap a two-game losing streak — all in Big 12 Conference play — and there’s not better place than at home.

The Red Raiders, who are undefeated in three games in Lubbock, will attempt to increase that total when they host West Virginia at 2 p.m. Oct. 22 to cap off homecoming festivities at Jones AT&T Stadium. The time was announced by the Big 12 Conference on Monday with national broadcast details to be finalized after Oct. 15 – either shown on FS1 or FS2.

Following a bye week, Texas Tech is scheduled to play in front of its home crowd for the first time in 28 days.

And what a home game it was, which saw Trey Wolff punch in a 20-yard field goal — his third kick of the game — to help the Red Raiders defeat then No. 22-ranked Texas 37-34 in overtime.

Since then, Texas Tech has dropped back-to-back road contests against nationally-ranked opponents in No. 25 Kansas State (37-28) and No. 7 Oklahoma State (41-31).

When they face off against West Virginia, the Red Raiders will look to increase a three-game winning streak over the Mountaineers. Texas Tech downed West Virginia, 23-20, in Morgantown in 2021.
