College student surprised by brother's military homecoming at graduation

A graduating student at Central Michigan University got a big surprise from her brother while on stage to receive her diploma.

When LaDyra Lyte's name was called during commencement, she was excited to be graduating from her fashion and interior design program but disappointed her younger brother couldn't be there to witness the accomplishment.

"Because of how close we are and how supportive we are of each other, it's like not having him there just feels very off," said Lyte. "It feels like I'm missing something."

Little did she know her brother, a specialist in the Michigan Army National Guard, wasn't about to miss seeing the moment in person.

LaDaryl Lyte surprised his sister by showing up to the ceremony after being away from his family for seven months.

Watch the sweet moment she realizes he's in the crowd and ready to escort her across the stage.
