College Students From South Windsor Achieve Great Feats

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption University, Worcester MA

  • The Assumption University Office of Student Activities has announced that Gina Marie Savino, of South Windsor, is currently serving as President and editor-in-chief of the Education Club and Le Provocateur for the 2020-21 academic year. The Education Club is a place to foster community within the University and its students majoring and minoring in education. She is also serving as editor-in-chief of Assumption's student newspaper, Le Provocateur, which chronicles campus news and life at Assumption while providing student writers with an opportunity to develop a portfolio of published work. The "Provoc" is an independent student-run publication that allows students to refine their journalism, marketing, and publishing skills.

Belmont University, Nashville TN

  • Samantha Gonzalez and Lucia Palladino, both of South Windsor, achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the fall 2020 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Castleton University, Castleton VT

  • Amanda Brault of South Windsor was recently named to the Castleton University Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2020-21 academic year. To qualify for this academic honor, students must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.

Kutztown University, Kutztown PA

  • More than 2,325 students have been named to the fall 2020 Dean's List at Kutztown University, including Evan Angell of South Windsor. To be eligible for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

Lebanon Valley College, Annville PA

  • Madison Donahue of South Windsor is one of more than 800 Lebanon Valley College students named to the Dean's List for the fall 2020 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. Donahue is pursuing a bachelor of arts in self-designed at The Valley. Donahue is a graduate of South Windsor High School.

University of Utah, Salt Lake City UT

  • Benett Saylor, of South Windsor, was named to the University of Utah's Fall 2020 Dean's List. Saylor's major is listed as Communication BS. Saylor was among more than 9,700 students named to the fall 2020 Dean's List at the U. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term.
