Collegiate Peaks Bank opens Fort Collins office

A new bank has entered the Northern Colorado market with offices in Fort Collins.

Collegiate Peaks Bank, a division of Glacier Bancorp, recently opened its location at 2002 Caribou Drive, east of South Timberline Road.

The office will be headed by David Fritzler, Northern Colorado regional president.

“This is a strategic market for us, and combined with our longstanding presence in Denver, southern Colorado, and the mountain communities, our new location provides the opportunity to now serve customers from Denver all the way to Wyoming,” Fritzler said in a news statement.

The bank was founded in the mid-'80s by a group of community members in Buena Vista. It was acquired by Glacier Bancorp Inc. in 2018 and is now a division of Glacier Bank, a regional bank holding company.

According to the FDIC, Glacier Bank has about two dozen locations throughout Colorado.

Collegiate Peaks is the latest bank to branch out into Fort Collins. Alpine Bank opened at the intersection of College Avenue and Prospect Road last year, expanding its reach from the Western Slope of Colorado.
