According to government data posted Wednesday afternoon, 14,758 people were infected with the new coronavirus in Colorado among 69,449 people who have been tested since the outbreak began. There were 2,621 people hospitalized, and the death toll has reached 766.

Around 29 recorded deaths were removed from the toll Monday, because they were gathered from death certificate data that were entered as duplicates, state health officials said.

Denver, Arapahoe and Weld counties consistently have the highest overall number of cases in the state; however, Morgan, Logan and Eagle counties consistently have the highest case rates per 100,000 people.
