Colorado Has Paid $8.29 Billion In Unemployment Since The Pandemic Started

In 2020 almost 900,000 Coloradoans applied for unemployment.

- Nearly 900,000 Coloradans have now filed for initial unemployment claims since the pandemic began. The state's Labor Department says over 11,500 more people filed last week for their first claims in the last year. That total number now is over 881,000. The state has paid out nearly $8.3 billion.
