Winners and Whiners: Take the Diamondbacks on the money line

Adam Rauzino writes: "The Diamondbacks continue to shine and this pitching matchup heavily favors the home team. Rockies’ starter German Marquez is having a disastrous season. He has surrendered 19 runs in his last four starts spread across only 19 innings. Furthermore, D-Backs’ starter Zac Gallen is pitching like a true ace right now. The right-hander has allowed just three runs in his 21.1 innings pitched highlighted by six shutout innings against the Dodgers. Gallen features a stifling 2.48 ERA against the Rockies. He has allowed just one run in his 11 innings of work at home this season."

Sports Chat Place: Go with the Diamondbacks vs. Rockies on Sunday

Randy Chambers writes: "Marquez has spent four of his first five starts at Coors, so you have to give some leeway to the numbers, but he’s still allowed 38 hits and 20 earned runs through 26 innings, no matter how you slice it. Zac Gallen has quietly allowed just 11 hits and three runs through 21.1 innings, and he’s going deep into games. Don’t look now, but the Arizona Diamondbacks are playing good baseball and could be a team to watch closer than usual. Give me the home team behind the better starter."

Pick Dawgz: Take the Diamondbacks in Sunday's game vs. Rockies

Shane Mickle writes: "The Diamondbacks are 1-8 in Gallen’s last nine starts on five days rest. The under is 5-0-1 in the Diamondbacks' last six games overall. The over is 4-0 in Marquez’s last four starts on grass. The under is 7-0-2 in the Diamondbacks' last nine home games against a right-handed starter. Overall the Rockies pitching staff is good, but one expectation is German Marquez who has been awful. In each of his last two starts, Marquez has given up seven runs. Look for the D-Backs offense to find success, and that will be the difference as the home team gets the job done. Back Arizona on the money line."
