Colorado State Patrol seeks help locating suspect in hit-and-run north of Fort Collins

A Loveland man was seriously injured early Wednesday along Colorado Highway 1 just north of Fort Collins in a hit-and-run incident, according to Colorado State Patrol.

CSP reported a 35-year-old male was walking northbound on the shoulder of Colorado 1 near Shore Road at approximately 6:20 a.m. when a vehicle veered onto the road shoulder and struck the pedestrian. The intersection is just east of Terry Lake and south of Richards Lake Road.

The vehicle then left the scene in an unknown direction. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Investigators are asking for the public's help locating the vehicle and driver involved in the incident. They believe the vehicle is a teal or blue-granite pickup or SUV with headlight damage.
