CSU police are investigating the possible causes and the circumstances surrounding the student’s death, spokesperson Dell Rae Ciaravola said. There was not and is no public safety threat to the campus associated with the death, according to the university.

“The university community is deeply saddened by this loss and we send our heartfelt condolences to the student’s family and friends,” Ciaravola said in a statement.

The Larimer County Coroner’s Office will release the student’s identity and manner and cause of death at a later time, Ciaravola said.
