The concert, with opener Appalachian Outlaws, will kick off the city's Secrest Summer Concert Series, with an announcement of who will be playing the popular outdoor concerts before the show. Doors will open at 5 p.m., the concert announcements and Appalachian Outlaws will start at 6 p.m. Colt Ford will take the stage at 7:30.

"Tickets, starting at $20, will be sold at an affordable price to thank you dedicated fans that have helped make our series a success for the last two years.  The City and VisitZanesville is looking forward to another fun summer as we all continue to work to foster a developing Entertainment District," said Stephanie Winland, the city's redevelopment administrator.

“Through bringing thousands of visitors into the heart of our city, the Secrest Summer Concert Series has breathed new life into Downtown Zanesville. We are seeing more activity and interest in Downtown projects thanks, in part, to our free outdoor concerts. We greatly appreciate the support from our local sponsors, vendors, and visitors. Without them, these types of projects would not be possible,” said Matt Schley, the city's community development director.

Ford blends country music with hip hop. The description on his Apple Music page states "Armed with a party-time disposition, and a love of the red, white and blue, Ford strikes the ultimate balance between country charm and hip-hop swagger."

Ford is touring in support of his latest EP, Keys to the Country. “Listen to these tracks…you’ll know exactly who I am,” he said in a release. “Colt Ford is about God, family, friends, and America. I’m just a guy who loves life. I love people. I love knowing I could make a difference in somebody else’s life with a song. I hope you walk away with a smile on your face. I poured my heart and soul into this one. This ain’t a hobby. It’s life. The fans are the reason I’m here. I’m going to keep doing it for them. I feel like the luckiest man on planet earth, so I’m not stopping.”
